My career so far

I have over eight years of experience in the startup sector.

Between 2013 and 2018 I contributed significantly to the rapid expansion of HousingAnywhere in both the Europe and U.S. Housing Markets.

My work included numerous innovations, chief amongst which was the creation of the Guaranteed Placement Program for select partner universities. It included the creation of the Verified Student Profile, allowing the platform to verify partner-university students, giving them a head-start in the relentless housing-market of the Netherlands, or anywhere else in the world.

After leaving the company in 2018, I joined the Venture-capital firm Unknown Group. Here, as Business Developer for the internationally acclaimed start-up competition Get in the Ring, I not only helped grow the competition by attracting new licensed organizers.

I was also able to use my creative and technlogical skills here once more. Together with the firm’s videographer I was responsible for building the Unknown Group studio from the ground up.

The studio was a one-stop shop in which users could record, edit and publish their video and audio content from start to finish, all from the same room.

After completing the studio, I choose to take a new direction in my career. It was in August 2021 that I joined the Corporate and Alumni Relations Office at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.

At the university I am focussed on implementing smart, efficient and scalable processes that support the teams and help grow the global alumni communities. But you can also regularly find me speaking at conferences and hosting workshops, sharing my skills, experiences and best practices with my peers.

In 2024 I have been rewarded for my efforts with the CASE Best of Europe Award, for my work in bringing digital innovation strategies to live within the universities Alumni Relations Community building efforts.

Educationally I hold degrees in Media Production Management and International Business Management. Alongside these diploma’s I continued my personal development by obtaining certificates in UI/UX Design, Innovation Management and Digital Marketing, as well as the basics such as MS office Excel, PowerBI and Data Analys.
